Jim Oppenheimer driving his Lola T-70 finished 3d OA and first
in class in the WorldCom Dash Trophy Race for "the big iron" at Watkins
Glen. Driving a steady race and achieving his best lap times of the
weekend. Oppenheimer started 6th and finished 3d OA.
Jim's Car was prepared by RMMotorsports Peter Kitchak, driving the Toad Hall Motor Racing 1969 Porsche 911 finished 1st Overall in the WorldCom Dash Trophy Race for small production cars. After strugling all weekend with a slow car, the team changed to Kuhmo tires and made some significant set-up changes for the last race of the weekend and found more than 4 seconds in the car. Kitchak who had been frustrated with the slow car credited the team with the win. " We were struggling and the guys from RMMotorsports came up with a winning combination. All in All, it was a great finish to the weekend." Results. Kitchak finished 2d OA and first in class in the Enduro at the previous
HSR race in Atlanta.
Kitchak also who won the opening round of the Klub Sport Race for Porsches of 2 liters and under at West Palm Beach Florida in January finished third in that event at Atlanta. Results. |
